Dale's Story
Life
Living in Miami for the last 30 years. I work as an Air Traffic Controller fot the Federal Aviation Administration. I have two kids age 26 + 16. I was in the USMC for 4 years after high school, where I learned to be a controller. Was fired by R. Reagan in 81 for stiking against the Gov., took me until 94 to get my job back. Hopefully I'll be retired soon. Getting old sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sure beats the alternative. Life is good and getting better every day. If I'd known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself!!!Retired9/9/08, bought a second home in Ormond Beach and split time between the 2 places. The beach is really nice and I get to ride my bicycle almost every day. The beach is about 300 yards from the front door. Sixty right around the corner. Oh Well
School

ry Elementary. (Sunland Rat) Half of 7th, all of 8th and half of 9th at Fletcher in JAX Beach (Dad at Mayport) The rest was in Sanford land of "PLENTY OF ELBOW ROOM", not so much anymore.
College
Went to Seminole CC after the military. I majored in VA checks. I did take a couple of classes at Miami Dade CC, but never got a degree.
Workplace
I presently work at Miami ARTCC and have for the last 8 years. I have also worked at Miami Approach Control, Homestead Tower, Jacksonville ARTCC. Indianapolis ARTCC. I also worked for the Post Office fo 5 years. Other exciting and unfufilling jobs radio operator in Thule Greenland ( 2 1/2 yrs ), bartender, salesman, constuction, etc.
Military
Boot camp at Paris Island. Then school at Brunswick GA. I served at Beauford SC and Kaneohe Hawaii. Hawaii was so nice that after I mustered out in San Francisco I took the next plane back and stayed for 2 and 1/2 years.
