Life Hi classmates! I am growing old in our new old home in Wetumpka, Alabama. We have renovated a 1849 home for our bed and breakfast, The Old Wetumpka House. I have four grandchildren now. I still love to write and keep journals, write poetry, etc... I do not get to see any of my old friends like I used to. Linda (Barberree) Huckabee and I have been best friends since meeting when I was in 9th grade and she was in 10th. I always remind her she is the older one!! Some best friend, huh? We call ourselves Ethel and Lucy. We haven't lost our youthful playfulness. Whenever we get together we laugh until our sides ache! We may not see each other as often anymore but we talk on the phone several times a week. For those of you who remember Phil Tankersley, he lives here with his wife Marilee and we all attend the same church. Also, Shiela (Coker) Elmore lives here, too! Small world. I hope some of you get to visit Wetumpka. It is a lovely old town right on the Coosa River near Lake Jordan (no relation) and Lake Martin. There is a lot of outdoors stuff to do and historical sites to see. We really like it here. The people are nice and friendly. Come and see us. Mike and I celebra...Expand for more
