Life
I am a Sr. Public Informstion/Community Outreach Officer with The City of Dallas. Married to the former Ellen Scott of San Augustine, Tx and the father of two daughters, Kendra Dale,26 a student at the University of Texas at Arlington and Amber Nicole,22, a graduate of my alma mater, Texas Southern University, Houston. For the last 30 years I've been quite active in community and volunteer activities- trustee, Children's Medical Center, member, The City of Garland Board of Adjustment, Member, Leadership Dallas Alumni Association, Childcare Board,Hamilton Park United Methodist Church, Dallas and a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity,Inc. as the National Big Brother of the Year and a guest of George H. Bush at the White House. In 2007 I was the recepient of BBBSA's National Clifford P. Norman Award for local board participation. In 2004 George W. Bush told one of my childhood stories in a speech to comemorate the 40th anaversary of the Civil Rights Act. For my work with Big brothers Big Sisters I have been featured in Forbes, Essence and Ebony Magazines. I enjoy reading, a retired runner (three marathons and many 10K and 5K runs) I now walk when I get a chance, also enjoy politics and photography. Recieved the B.S. Degree from Texas Southern University '74,(Ocean of Soul Marching Band)Houston.
