Dale's Story
Within a year of not-graduating in 1963 I hopped on the Oriana and found my way to Wellington New Zealand. After a few years I married which produced two beautiful daughters. In 1993 my wife passed away and two years later with my new life partner, Jean, moved to Masterton and more recently to Wanganui where we live on a lifestyle¿ property with donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, cats and dogs.
My working career has two aspects. The first being within Government as a Probation Officer and then within such Corporation as Philips Electronics, IBM, NCR and Mobil Oil; starting in sales, marketing and Management Training. During these years I also studied and trained as a Marriage Counsellor, Family Therapist, Psychotherapist and more recently as a Life Coach.
After leaving the corporate life in 1986, I contracted to various organizations as a Management Training Consultant as well as developing a private therapy practice.
Late in the 1980's I became involved in real estate owning a multi office r...Expand for more
eal estate company which was later sold when we moved to Masterton.
I then contracted to the Real Estate Institute of NZ as Real Estate Tutor and to write their Real Estate Management study modules for Massy University and The Open Polytechnic.
These studies are compulsary units for Branch Manager certification and the National Diploma in Real Estate which is a prerequisite to becomming a Licensee ownership and operating a Real Estate Company.
Currently, I contract to various real estate companies and small business entrepreneurs as a Consultant and Life Coach.
New Zealand has been very generous allowing me many opportunities such as co-founding the Wellington Film Festival and the New Zealand Association of Training and Development, writing the now internatioal recognised "Job Club" programme, and being appointed as a Judicial Justice of the Peace amongst other things.
I now look forward to catching up with part of my past which seems so long ago and have ignored for so long
Regards
Dale
