A HAA!!! That's what I do In My garage
I like putting a solid color boarder around a field of interesting color wood, In this case The wide threshold is white oak and the field is red oak
THis was the Landing at the top of the stairs to the bedrooms and the bathroom.
what do you think??? Don't that look good!!
My bear was getting board with all the BS....SO NOW iT's TIME FOR THE FINISH PICTURES.
I glued the oak veneer onto the benda board and applied the old zingger wood sealer before I finished it with the floor finish.
I covered the round areas with 3/8 benda board. THis gave the strength to support the stair tread.
I next had to construct the risers for the stairs, This was fun and challenging work.
lay over on your side because I don't know how to rotate this picture, THis is my drying rack.... notice the use of an old door for support.
I did all the sanding and set up a small paint booth
Purchased My finishing materials, the beer is gone...
Nice looking stuff, all red oak
I purchased the materials for the first three treads
This is the existing stairs which I needed to replace
