Dalene's Story
Hi Friend -
After graduating from Highlands in 1972, I got married, worked, and partied. In 1976 I went to work at McClellan AFB and left there in 1998 when my husband retired. In 1980 my son, Justin was born and I loved being a mom. I was very involved with him and our house was the "place to go" for he and his friends to hang out.
He is now 28, married to a great lady, and they currently have 2 sons. Our oldest grandson (Dillon) is 6 and our youngest (Eli) is 2. They are the joy of our life! (My son and his wife have dark brown hair, but they had two red-headed children - like me - but much cuter!!!! Many of my classmates probably remember me as a "redhead".)
I partied a lot until 1986, when I went to church with a friend and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. My life continued to change for the bette...Expand for more

I worked for over 25 years at McClellan AFB. Before leaving there I was in management and also a systems analyst. I loved my job and miss my many friends. It was a sad day when I left.
My husband retired in 1998 and we traveled for a couple of years by RV. We saw much of the USA, but we missed our family.
We now live in Lincoln. We attend a Christian Church called the Salt Mine. It is also a Community Service Center and Food Closet. It is an awesome place and we have many friends there. We love serving the poor and the homeless; its great to be involved in helping others!
When I look back over the years since graduation I think, "where did the time go?" Then again I look at my life and it seems like more than a life-time. I am truly blessed!
