Randall's Story

["Reader's Digest" version, in roughly chronological order:] After graduation, went to Cal State L.A. for a couple of years, then to Japan for a couple of years, back to Cal State L.A., played trumpet, piano & guitar, arranged / composed / conducted music, produced and directed a song and dance troupe that performed from coast to coast, wrote curriculum for colleges and universities, worked as a travel agent, commodities broker, teacher / translator / interpreter of Japanese, political activist, director of operations for a health food manufacturer, Master Herbalist, Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, bank vice president (for California's fifth largest bank), faculty coordinator for financial education programs (at USC's College of Continuing Education), author of financial education materials, President of Foundation for Financial Education, software engineer, UNIX systems administrator, web developer, leader of personal growth workshops (including ...Expand for more
firewalks), corporate trainer, instructional designer, curriculum developer, management consultant and business coach. I probably left out some things, but that's all I can think of right now. Oh, yeah -- I got married and had a bunch of kids, too, (10 to be exact) most of whom are now grown, some with kids of their own, and I have since divorced. If by any chance you're masochistic enough to want more detail than this, then keep an eye on my timeline [above], which I expect will be a work in progress for awhile... Btw, I'm not paying these folks here for a "premium" membership, so unless you have one, we won't be able to communicate -- in fact, I won't even know if you've left your name or any kind of greeting on this thing they call my "guestbook". But if (like me!) you're crazy enough to want to get in touch, then just send a note to: rldslc [AT] netzero [DOT] net. Also, just in case anyone is curious, my dad -- Leonard F. Dalton, who was principal at GHS from 1964 to 1969 -- passed away in 2004.
