Dan Anderson:  

Life Retired from USAF in '94 after 25 years service. Served eight years of my career as a enlisted Security Policeman, with five of those years at Edwards AFB, CA. Was NCOIC, SP Investigations until accepting a commission and entering Air Force Intelligence. Last Air Force tour was at the Pentagon on the Joint Staff for Intelligence (J-2). Continued education and started a second career in the computer software industry. Now work for IBM Software Services as a Project Manager and Contracts Specialist. Moved to Stuarts Draft, VA in 2003. Live on 3.5 acres near a town of 8000+. Country living at its best. Plan to retire in the immediate future, then sit on my porch and watch the grass grow. I am widowed since 1993 (my late-wife was Air Force too), but I have a bird and a cat to keep me company. Travel frequently to various military gatherings and special events. Also get plenty of exercise mowing the grass and working around the house. Also collect steins and do a lot of stargazing as an amateur astronomer. My latest endeavor has been weight loss. I've lost 120 pounds in 10 months and feel great. My best memory of my military service was my 5 years (1974-1979) as an SP at Edwards AFB, CA. I was an SP Investigator with the 6510th SPS. The SPs at Edwards called ourselves the "Desert Rats." Met many friends who have made a lasting impression on my life and with whom I still communicate today via a reunion association. I always wanted to be a police officer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. My undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice and my first Masters is in Public Administration.
