Dan's Story
I have been retired since 2012. I moved to Ottawa in 1983 in order to work at the Department of Justice in research while I was pursuing my doctorate in sociology at Carleton University. After seven years with Justice, I moved to the Correctional Service Canada (federal prison system) for another five years, also in research. f scientific journal articles. In 2008, I won a very prestigious award, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada's gold medal laureate as the government's top scientist. Several Noble laureates have won this award in the past. I have two adult children who both work for the federal government and live near me. I spend much of my time looking after my grandchildren, gaming, and reading science fiction and fantasy books. I'm still on my first marriage with Leilla, after some 40 plus years. Hard to believe that she hasn't killed me yet.
