Dan's Story
Went to Pierce College and studied journalism, then CSUN and went to work at a newspaper group covering South Central LA. At 24, said goodbye to California and moved to Hawaii where I worked as a dive master and then got a job as a writer, but spent most of my free time sailing and running a small mountain bike adventure tour business. tes for a job at the San Jose Mercury News and a switch to marketing. A few years later I’m at Yahoo in marketing and partner management, all while trying to balance life with a wonderful partner and an athlete son. Son is now graduated from college, working in tech and living in Los Angeles. His mom and I still live in Capitola (Santa Cruz) with two crazy dogs. Spend free time long-distance motorcycle riding (9 countries and counting), hiking and planning our next trip to Joshua Tree or the mountains.
