Dan's Story
Life
In High School, I was not a popular guy. I was the shy/quiet type. I didn't have many friends, I didn't have a girlfriend, I had no job, no car, until I got out of school. I lived with my parents for 32 years. I had a couple of girlfriends over the years, but nothing that lasted. I had a handfull of dates. Then I met my latest girlfriend which I've been with for eleven years now. I met her in a bar of all places. She is older than me and has two grownup kids of her own. One lives with us, and the other on their own. I was never the kid lover type. I don't think I could handle kids, I don't have the patients for them. My girlfriend has a granddaughter and she is a handfull. I bounced from job to job since school, my current job I have been working for almost ten years now. g now. I had a few jobs that had layoffs. I just want someplace to settle down to and hopefully retire from. I did not go to college, because I couldn't stand school. I didn't like it, I hated homework, school was to boring for me. I counted the days. My main interests are cars and trucks. I like the old muscle cars. I had different cars and trucks over the years, even though I didn't take up automotive in school. I can't believe it's been almost twenty seven years since I've graduated. I went to the twentieth class reunion. It was fun. Boy, some people change, and some people don't change a bit. I felt bad, because I did not recognize a couple of classmates and forgot a few peoples names. I hope there will be a twenty fifth or a thirtieth class reunion, and hope more people will show up.
