Dan's Story
I left Madison after graduating High school to attend college. I received a grant-in-aid to play football for a small college in PA. I pulled lousy grades and quit college to play semi -pro football for a couple of years. My father made me join the electricians union as an apprentice. I quit football after about three years and coming to understand the full limitations of my talent. I went to college at night for several years and became a high school teacher in the Cleveland school system. In the meanwhile I got married (1969) and had three children. nd MBA and managed several different businesses for RE. The company later became Rockwell Automation. I relocated several times for Rockwell and it included living and working in Asia (Hong Kong and Beijing) for four years.
In 2000 after my three grown kids had graduated college my first marriage ended. Life was looking pretty bleak. Then I started seeing my current wife whom I knew from my RA days in China, she had relocated to Canada. We were married in 2002 and we have two boys (currently 8yrs and 5yrs). I was downsized from RA in 2009 and tried unsuccessfully to start my own business for a year and finally had to hook up with another company. That brought us to California in January of 2010 which is where we are now.
