Dan's Story
In high school, I was restoring a 1940 Ford four door sedan. I finshed it in 78 and I still have it. I've rebuilt it again and now it's much more fun to drive.
I've worked on lots of cars, both hot rods and restorations. I'm now building a 23 Ford T bucket hot rod for my dad and a custom 1950 Four sedan for my son. I have several 40 Fords, but my first is still my favorite.
The boys and I also like trains. We have some model railroads under construction and we like to spend time sitting next to railroad tracks watching the trains go by. I know, we're freaks. Fortunately, my wife is patient and understanding.

er, sound designer, scene designer, and tech director since I was in college. I've designed lots of shows, but after doing it for such a long time, the fun kind of wore off. It is a job with long days, late nights, and missed family holidays. It can get old.
I don't do production work anymore (since 2004), unless I really feel like it's a project I'm interested in doing. I teach an Introduction to Theatre class to about 220 students, which can be a handfull. But at least the days are normal, no more late nights, and I spend holidays with the family. It's given me much more time to spend with my family and friends, which means more to me than any design I could possibly do.
