Dan's Story
Hi
I've been in the construction trades since 1974 and a Construction Inspector since 1990 and I still love what I do.
I look forward to going to work each and every day.
At this time I have 31 years of work I have 31 years at 85% towards my retirement. and I still have another 3-5 years to go before I want to retire. Then I will really travel the world ... when my house is paid off.
When I returned from Vietnam (toured as a Recon Scout Sniper), just shortly after, I found myself holding a post card in my hand showing the enchanted Rogue River flowing thru a small town in Oregon named Grants Pass. It drew me to it .... "like a moth to a flame"!
I sold everything I owned and bought 3 -tickets on a Greyhound bus headed to GP, Oregon.
I took only: My wife (at the time), our 1 -son, 2 -box speakers, 3 -suit cases and 4 -boxes.
We bought a beautiful home and stay...Expand for more
ed up there for the next 13 years.
I attended Oregon College-
Major: Forest Industries. Studied to become a Forester. Minors: Business and Science.
I purchased my 2nd home in N. Redondo Beach in 1987, and my 3rd home in San Pedro, Ca. back in 2000, where I still reside today.
I have (3) three sons, ages: 45 , 40 and 26.
I have (2) two granddaughters, (3) three grandsons.
They are all such precious treasures to me and they all allow me to spoil them as much as I can.
I enjoy long drives up the coast and or through the mountains. I really like to get out and see the country.
The things that I like to do: fishing, walking, gardening, computers, movies and TV
Also, If any one out there is into surf fishing, please give me a call, we'll go out and hit the trenches together!
