Dan's Story

Life Dan Fine is one of the early Internet veterans in town and has founded multiple businesses using well-developed strategic plans. He founded fine.com, the first company to be named a "dot com", in 1994 without angel or venture capital funding. fine.com was also the first company to connect Windows NT and SQL to the Internet. It was also the first company to connect Great Plains to the Internet in 1997. Dan guided the company thru an IPO in 1997 to an acquisition by Aris Corporation in 1999. ission to become the leading Microsoft Business Solutions company. Earlier this year, the company raised $20 million from four Venture Capitalists and merged the company with EYT, formerly Ernst & Young Technologies. They have 101 employees and are headquartered in Seattle. The company recruited a new CEO and Dan has been tasked to build the Axapta practice.. Dan has received several awards for his solid business planning, including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and Small Business Person of the Year Award by SBA in 1999. Dan graduated from Washington State University with a BA in English, and lives in Woodway, Washington. He is married and has two girls.
