Amy's Story
Living in Colorado since Jan 2000... married in 2001 to a wonderful guy, a Colorado native. Had a beautiful child in 2003 named Anslee. She is now in Kindergaten. She is the love of my life and my sporty little girl. She is taking on all of our activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, swimming, triathlons, and she's trying to like hiking. Pretty much every weekend you will find our family outside, either camping with the dogs, racing in a triathlon, or climbing a 14,000ft mountain. In my opinion, I live in an awesome state, and in the most active, outdoorsy city in the nation and it is only soon to get better. We are selling our house just outside of Boulder and moving to Summit County so that we are able to walk out our back door and ski everyday in the winter and then mtn bike and hike everyday in the summer. nd never wanted to exercise... now I live for it. I have climbed 37 14,000ft mountains, raced in multiple triathlons including 2 half iron distance races, 3 10k swims in open water, a marathon and a 100mile bike race. I am now getting ready to start the training for my first ironman. I am still a dog lover and started a rescue for Labrador Retrievers. With the help of several other girls Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue has saved over 150 dogs in the last year. I love music and make a point to see Widespread Panic every show they play in Colorado. I also try and see multiple shows at Red Rocks. I consider myself very lucky to have a wonderful family with a husband who is the greatest dad and supports me in all that I do and all of my activities. We also love to travel and are lucky we will start seeing more of the world due to his job.
