Dan's Story
I did little in high school in the usual half days I spent there. I remember very few people from Hidden Valley high school, perhaps because I was a "move-in" and moved out so soon after graduation. I was a bit socially backward besides.
I chased employment to Ashland, then Klamath Falls, then moved to central Utah, where I stayed for about twenty years. I married there and started my family of 5 children. I have worked in various construction trades and worked for many years in manufacturing (where I worked in quality assurance).
Over fifteen years ago I moved to Carson City Nevada to be closer to my ill father (who divorced my mother when I was 12). My children (four of which are now married) graduated High school here and three went on to college degrees and oth...Expand for more
ers to jobs, etc. I now have six grand-kids. I have no kids left at home anymore. YAY!
My two boys, ten years apart, are professional jugglers. I often traveled with them to promote their gigs. Most of their shows have been in California.
I currently enjoy lack of employment, living on my son's off-grid property. Our expenses are low enough that outside income is not required for now. I'm trying to just stay busy on the homestead. You can see our homestead on the Discovery channel's Homestead Rescue, first season, Nevada Thirst. If you don't have Discovery, find a couple videos on YouTube, "Meet the Kondors" and "Teaching an old tractor new tricks.
I hope to hear from anyone that may remember me from school. I regret not having kept track of reunions and such.
