Dan's Story
I flew 20 years for the Air Force, then another 16+ for United Airlines. Mandatory retired at age 60, spent a couple of years as a reporter for my local weekly newspaper in Orange County, Va., then a few more doing free-lance writing/photography to keep my hand in. budget cut then did away with my part-time position. I'm now working part time as copy editor for Lake Currents, the bi-weekly community newsletter of the Lake of the Woods Association, where we live. Still very happily married, with two sons, a granddaughter and grandson. We live on a private lake about an hour south of Washington D.C. and spend time, when we can, in our condo in Satellite Beach, Florida, about ten minutes south of Ron Jon's Surf Shop.
