Dan's Story
Telephone Tom here, for you Mr. Fabian fans. I did eventually grow up with only a few more episodes of trouble. Not bad for a convicted tsurismacher.
After Von Steuben I went to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, like a good goy. I studied mission aviation, met my wife Glenda from Royal Oak, Michigan, and graduated with a B.S (how appropriate) in 1971, soon after our first son Luke was born. He just turned 40, has 5 kids, and is a software engineer in Boise.
We left for Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific in August, 1973, where I flew for Wycliffe Bible Translators. Our second son Andrew was born there in April, 1974. Andy is the Pastor of Worship at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pullman, WA. Andy and Michelle have two children.

Wycliffe's Jungle Aviation and Radio Service. In August, 1981 we moved to Bethel, AK where I coordinated Bible translation into the Yup'ik Eskimso language and pastored the Bethel Moravian Church. I also flew search and rescue for the Civil Air Patrol. Our third son Steven was born there in 1982. Today Steve is the next generation worship pastor at Hill Country Bible Church NW in Austin, TX. Steve and Becca are expecting a daughter this summer.
In August of 1988 we moved to La Grande, OR to launch Youth for Christ/Eastern Oregon. I also served as campus minister at Eastern Oregon University and pastored the Union Baptist Church during these years. Glenda has taught kindergarten for 23 years here, and still loves it.
In January of 2009 we started Celebration Community Church, and expect this to be our final role. But who knows?
