Dan's Story
Life
The 1960's were our nastolgic years. It was our beginning years as young adults, or so we liked to believe! We didn't believe that there was still a lot to learn...Each day is a learning process. Each day we know more than we did the day before. All I did during High School was work, build cars and race them at Minnesota Drag Ways. Then there was the service after which I opened my own business. Since then I've been self employed my entire career. I thank God I never had to deal with "Corporate USA". It has been very satisfying to spend the last thirty-six years providing clients with the kind of service they want but rarely receive in the real estate market. r us. We retired in early 2013. We spend our winters at our 2nd home in the country of Panama. I hope all is well with all of my old friends from Patrick Henry. Hope to see many of you at the next reunion.
An update: It,s almost 2025 as I add to this profile. We've now been retired for 12 years. Two granddaughters (15 and 10) fill up our life. We sold the Panama house. Karen is trying to convince me to take cruise #33. We'll see! Just grateful to still be functioning fairly well at 76 years old. Still do 45 push-ups a day...which my lower back hates! We've had a few health scares over the last nine years but so far, we've come out ahead. Each day is a gift. Share yours with those folks in your life. As it is said, you only go around once. Make the most of what you have left...and smile.
