Dan's Story
After High School, I started my college days in engineering. After 2 years I decided that was not how I wanted to spend the rest of my life. I transfered to a college in Miami Florida, and switched my major to aviation. I got my pilots licenses and tried to get on with the major airlines. I didn't have enough flying experience, so I applied for a job with the FAA to be an air traffic controller. I was a controller for 10 years, and then ...Expand for more
became a supervisor for 20 years. I was then promoted to a manager for the last 4 and a half years. I retired in 2003, and have been loving life until my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She fought it for 19 months, but passed away on March29, 2008. We have 6 children between us, and 5 grand children. I am living in Jacksonville, Florida, and plan to stay here. I like to travel and play golf. ( don't do it well, but still like it.)
