Dan's Story
Life
I now live in Houston. I have had a great life. I am very thankful.
After leaving Burbank I attended San Antonio Jr. College, St. Mary's University-B.S.Chemistry; University of Texas Austin-PhD Chemistry; U.T, St. Mary's and George Washington University Law Schools and received my MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I finally had to get a job!!
I have lived and worked in San Antonio, Austin, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Dordrecht Holland, Scunthorpe England, The Hague Holland, and Houston. I have traveled to 49 of the 50 states and 6 of the 7 continents. I Hope to get Alaska next summer and Anartica soon. I have also worked in China, Korea, Mexico and Turkey. You guessed it I was with an oil company.
In addition to working at Tenneco in Houston I have taught high school and college and even served as the Academic Dean of a junior college and a Director of a nursery school. At Tenneco I wo...Expand for more
rked in oil, natural gas and chemicals. Operations, Marketing, Supply, Planning, Environmental, Finance and General Management.
I have been married for 39 years and have two grown daughters. One graduates from law school this year and will work for a Federal Appellate Judge and the other works for a political polling organization. They are both UT grads as is my wife. My wife, Jeanette, undergraduate degree is from Baylor and my lawyer daughter graduated from Wellesly and gets married this June.
My wife and I are retired we travel a lot. Our 1999 Toyota has 197,000 miles, 50,000 miles a year ain't bad for an old guy. Our last trip was to baseball spring training in Florida and then Arizona. The picture of me was taken in Tucson. We also enjoy sports, hiking, camping, reading and plays.
I have very fond memories of my years at Burbank and would love to hear from high school friends I am in the Houston telephone book.
