Dana's Story
Life
I am currently single I have a son Jerry, and daughter Lori. My children are married, and Ihave 5 grandchildren. I have a few acres just a half mile from the city limits. I have a Golden Retriever who is 6years old, he was like having a baby to raise when he was a pup. I have numerous barn cats not by choice.
Workplace
I have been in a variety of jobs over the last 40 years. The absolute dream job was working at Walt Disney World as part of the opening cast and the first year of operation .My husband and I then ran a successful carry-out in Covington. with kids raised I was able to join the Rescue Squad and pursue my life-long dream of helping others. Iam currently a Paramedic on the squad. This really gave me the urge to become a nurse. So since the company I was working for was suppose to move south, I went to Nursing School,and graduated 18 months later. Due to my company remaining in the area it was seven years before I actually started nursing,mainly because benefits and money were not great in the nursing field. I am nursing now and find it very rewarding helping others. I also continue working on the squad, my first love. I work as a nurse at Whirlpool/KitchenAid in Greenville in their Health Ctr.
