Dana's Story
Life
38 years since graduating Mart High...that's a lot of years to cover. So, I'll hit the high points.
1973 - Married Tim Bratcher, Class of 1971 Marlin High School.
1975 - Gave birth to first child, a girl (Reta) who is now married, has two daughters, and lives in San Antonio. She works at UTHSC and is going to school at UTSA to complete BA in Business Administration.
1978 - Gave birth to second child, a boy (Zach) who has a degree in Computer Science, works at TSTC in Waco, and is living with us for now until student loans are paid off (yeah). Actually, I think he enjoys spending his money on his expensive toys and may never leave home!!
1981 - Gave birth to third and last child, a boy (Seth), ...Expand for more
who has an AA degree in Computer Aided Drafting. He recently married and they are now living and working in Dallas. He is attending Texas A&M at Commerce to complete BA degree.
2000 - After going to college on and off for 30 years, finally received my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Management from Park University in Austin
1973 - present - have worked for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. My physical place of employment is the VA Finance Center in Austin. Currently am a Systems Accountant, and travel quite a bit, mostly to Washington DC.
My dad is sill pretty healthy, still barbers almost full time, and lives on Lake Palestine. His barber shop is on Highway 155 between Frankston and Tyler.
