Daniel's Story
As of 7-22-2013: Family moved to Utica in '76 shortly after graduation. Off to College in Potsdam then down to Ft Lauderdale FL from '80-'95. Out to Intel in Portland, OR '96-'03. Burned out on high-tech and have been working in accounting since '04. Purchased a tax/accounting practice in '08. Married out of college and had 3 boys. Youngest is married and living in Portland, middle is single down in Sana Monica, CA, eldest passed away in '95. No grandchildren. Enjoy camping and light hiking.
Since the family left Syracuse immediately after high school, and we left NY immediately after college, we haven't kept in touch with anyone from that time of our lives...
Most high school memories involve the music department. Concert/marching band and the musicals. Used to cut class fair...Expand for more
ly frequently and hung out in the band room. My Spanish teach, and social studies (Mr. Mitchell) used to call the band room and ask me to come to class....
College saw a lot of time spent at the (now defunct) WNTC radio station. Roommates had a Foosball table in the Woodstock apartments for Jr/Sr year which always provided a diversion from studies.
I find it interesting that what we all remember most isn't the education we received but the fun little diversions while we obtained it.
Browsing through the yearbooks creates many "Oh yeah, I remember them" moments.... makes me wonder what would have happened had I stayed in Camillus.
Pacific NW is fantastic. No bugs, lower humidity, mild winters, rarely snows.... June-Oct are spectacular. It really doesn't rain here all the time.
