Daniel's Story

It's been all over the US and Europe mostly with a concentration in Philadelphia that proved rewarding. Other than doing rather well in real estate, my most distinctive career was the theater playing Walt Whitman on major stages in Megalopolis. Next was producing thousands of school assemblies across the US almost all of which I personally delivered. "My schools include Stuyvesant, the University of Chicago, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Temple, and the University of Pennsylvania. Vegan. A lot of writing over the years, some of which won awards, publishing only in alternative weeklies or literary journals, but most of it's here with us preparing for book-length projects. "Excellent health, a great relationship, cheerful disposition and good luck allowed me early retirement. I write, Susan makes art and photographs, and until lockdown we traveled half the year. ens down here in Tampa Bay. "Communication is easier than ever but people seem less eager to correspond. We can even phone each other free from around the world yet hiding behind veils of silence seems to be the rule. I love comparing notes so at least this useful service Classmates.com gives us some sense of what happened to us. What I find fascinating about frankness is the illumination and insight true exchange offers. "Most disappointing is a profound sadness for America. That today we can only offer the electorate a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea tells us retrace the years that led to such a pass and question everything every step of the way. "All our wars, our interventions seem so misguided and counterproductive, killing millions, ruining our prospects, and costing trillions our children and our children's children have yet to pay. To see our ideals gone to seed and our society reduced is the tragedy of our lives, even as we enjoyed the fruits of previous generations. Back in the day, we still believed. The rest of the world has not much of a chance of enjoying our rare good fortune. "Anyway, whoever you are, enjoy your best years. I am. Life is a joy. Live every minute of it.
