Daniel's Story
Where do I start? Hard to capture 50+ years in a few sentences. After DGN, got my BS and MS in Industrial Technology in Education from NIU. Taught HS Industrial Education (mainly drafting) for 10 years in both the Peoria Heights IL HS and in Oswego ,IL school districts. Taught at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL for 9 years then moved to administration there for about 13 years. Am ABD towards an Ed.D. from the U of I in Community College Leadership. "Retired" at 54 as an Assistant VP at Waubonsee and started a second career in Wisconsin. After 6 years as VP of Academic and Student Affairs at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, WI, I retired again. That lasted about 9 months when I took an interim position back with Waubonsee as Assistant VP of Instruction for 8 months in 2013. In 2014 I worked for a 21 community college consortia writing web content on a part-time basis for a couple of months.. Back to being retired now. It's been a good life. Hope to do some traveling now. Been to Williamsburg, VA; Hilton Head; Asheville, NC; Pentwater, MI; Door County WI; New Port RIchey, FL (see my folks); and driven the Blue Ridge Parkway since retirement. Love it!
Married to same wonderful woman (Mary Beth) for 47 years. Met at Northern IL. U. Chased her for 6 years on and off before she let me catch her. Two wonderful grown sons. Just got my fourth granddaughter (YAY!) Moved back to Illinois - Woodstock, IL from the Fond du Lac area. I enjoy hearing from folks.
