Daniel's Story
There has been a lot of water that has flowed under the bridge since we have graduated high school back in 1970. I worked for a year after graduation to save money to pay for college. I started Penn State September 1971. When I started college I did not get a college deferment. I received a draft notice in June 1972 and entered the army on July 24, 1972. I had my basic training at Fort Dix in New Jersey. After basic training I was sent to Denver, Colorado for my MOS training. They trained me to be an optician. That is also where I met my future wife. 1975 with an associate degree in mechanical engineering. I did get married to Rhonda, who is from Rapid City, South Dakota, June 1976. We have been married for 44 years. January 1977 I started at Drexel University at night school. I graduated from Drexel with a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering in June 1986. If you do the math it took me 4 years to get a 2 year degree and 10 years to get a 4 year degree. We have three daughters who were all borne while I attended Drexel. We now have 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, a grand daughter and one grand son. I have worked as a draftsman, designer and mechinal engineer. I retired from Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, New Jersey after 25 years, as a mechanical engineer in 2014. Fun fact, my wife and I have been in all 50 states. We have seen many amazing things in our travels.
