Daniel Kasnitz is a native of Concord, Massachusetts who now resides in Brattleboro, Vermont. Many experts contend that the decline of western civilization is traceable to an event in 1975 when, at age 15, Kasnitz performed his first professional engagement, playing the bass guitar and uttering strange noises, later determined by forensic specialists to be prehistoric-style attempts at singing. Since then, Kasnitz has befuddled audiences across the United States and in some of the more unfortunate regions of Canada. Against all odds, Kasnitz obtained a degree from the previously prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Armed only with this diploma and a pair of spandex pants to mask his dubious skills, he set off on a path of destruction, damaging a wide range of musical ense...Expand for more
mbles at uncountable concerts, dances, weddings, hoe-downs and bocce matches. Not content with flailing at just vocals and bass, Kasnitz soon added guitar, keyboards, percussion and kazoo to his cacophonous collection of instruments that would continue to confuse him to this day. As his attempts to entertain became more and more desperate, Kasnitz started blending aspects of comedy, musical theater, dance and investigative reporting into his already painfully embarrassing performances. Kasnitz' recorded legacy is equally sordid. When still in his teens, he learned how to swindle expensive audio equipment from well-intentioned friends & relatives. While his nefarious powers as a recording engineer, producer and studio owner grew, his output of absurd and unadvisable recordings multiplied like an invasive species of rabbits, let loose in the Australian Outback. From seemingly innocuous major releases by the populist choral group "On Wings Of Song" to regrettable pop songs, to his solo instrumental collections "Music in Search of a Cop Show" and "Happy Robots Hit the Highway," Kasnitz has defined new nadirs in many styles and genres, some still unidentified. Unfazed by either criticism or horse tranquilizers, Kasnitz continues to disgorge abusive audio outbursts with appalling frequency. Hey! Dig the double-entendre pun! Can't top that, gotta stop right here.".
