After I graduated from Fremont High in 1971, I joined the US Air Force. My first assignment was at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ where I was a Missile Systems Analst Technician, an Instructor, a Trainer Operator, and a Schedular. I also went to Missile Competition four times. After spending 11 years in AZ, I cross trained to Satallite Communications as an operator/maintainer. After several assignments, I was stationed in Sunnyvale in 1987. I was the Satcom Superintendent at Sunnyvale AFS, which became Onizuka AFB. I was in Sunnyvale for two years when I received orders to Korea. After a year in Korea, I came back to Onizuka AFB in 1990 as a First Sergeant. ...Expand for more
I spent two more years in Sunnyvale and then was sent to Belgium, where I finished my career of 24 years. I retired from the Air Force in 1995. After my career in the military, I went to work at a company called Riverwood International, which since has merged and is call Graphic Packaging Int. I was there 20 years and then I retired as the Storeroom and Parts Manager. I have been a Mason and a Shriner for over 40 years. I am currently the General Secretary for the Valley of Middle Georgia Scottish Rite and the Eminent Commander for Ivanhoe #10 York Rite Commandry in Fort Valley, Ga. I spend a lot of my free time helping the children at the Shriner's Hospitals.
