HON. DANIEL PALMIERI
BIOGRAPHY
DANIEL PALMIERI, Judge, County Court of Nassau County, also designated as an Acting Justice of the New York Supreme Court, presides over civil and criminal cases. He was first elected to the County Court in 1994 and reelected in 2005 after a one year hiatus in private practice. He previously served in the Nassau County District Court.
Judge Palmieri was formerly Vice President of Corporate Property Investors, an owner of commercial real estate throughout the United States, a member of the firm now known as Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, Mineola, New York and an associate at the Dewey Ballantine Firm in New York City. Reisman, Peirez and Reisman, LLP, Garden City, New York, a Judicial Hearing Officer in Nassau and Suffolk Counties and on the arbitrator panel for National Arbitration and Mediation. He is a graduate of St. John¿s College and St. John¿s Law School, where he excelled academically.
Judge Palmieri has been an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association, where he has served as an elected director, editor of its monthly journal and featured columnist, the New York State Bar Association, various local and specialty bar associations and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He was a long time member of the Nassau County Judicial Committee on Women in the Courts and actively participated in many of its programs.
