Daniel's Story

After high school I worked on Navy weapon systems and liked it so much, I joined the Navy. Did my 4 years working on Naval aircraft while stationed at NAS Miramar in San Diego and getting sea time on the carriers USS Constellation, Nimitz and Independance. Moved back to Maryland in 1993 after a divorce and then finding my way to 5 acres North of Westminster, MD. I remarried in 1998 getting 2 step daughters I consider "my girls". I've now had a boy and girl of my own. We have goats, chickens, rabbits...dog just died. I'm usually working around our property or doing something with my wife and kids. was attached with VAQ-209 out of Andrews Air Force Base. Our squadron flew EA6B's (Tactical Electronic Jammers). We were deployed for the Kosovo Campain and Operation Iraqi Freedom. We also deployed to Turkey twice, Saudi Arabia, Italy (Operation Deny Flight) and Japan. I finished with 16.5 years in the Navy Reserves and retiring in 2006. Most of my work has been mechanical designing (CAD and solid modeling and documentation) in the defense and aerospace industries. My greatest accomplishments are my family, Navy career, getting my private pilot certificate, 5 patents and becoming Catholic being baptized with my son.
