Life
It is funny how things have a habit of going full circle. When we were at DHS people thought of getting on with life. Now that we are 35+ years out of DHS, we think of the friends we met back then.
What makes me remember Deerfield HS the most is visiting the VietNam Wall in Washington and seeing the 4 classmates up there.
Now I am finding my late mother's family in France and enjoying being part of a true extended family. Watching ...Expand for more
our son meet them and fit right in is another pleasure for Liz and me. The best is watching him struggle with French. He didn't listen either. We are both relearning a second language from scratch.
One thing you are never prepared for is the death of your child. To say it is a parent's nightmare, doesn't do justice. The 33 years we had with David were the best. The rest of life, right now, sucks.
