Daniel's Story
Hello Classmates,
First I'd like to give a plug for your Alumni/Reunion Team. Debbie Calhoun, John Kopack, Janet Little, Cathy McAbee, Sharon Rowan, Debbie Sanford and myself. We are trying to update our Classmate Master Contact List. It is important that we have your current contact info so we can provide you with communications of Alumni activities.
You can visit the Bethel HS web-site and in the "Search" field - type in "class of 1974". It will take you to a link that has contact info for your 1974 Alumni team. Or you can send me an email via this web-site.
Your Alumni Team thanks you for your continued support!
Okay - I'll give a brief overview and history of myself. I lettered in football in our sophomore year. That was the last year I played football. I came back for turn-out for our junior year and saw that everyone had grown over the summer and were much bigger and stronger than I was - I was out of there after the first day.
I didn't participated in any of the other school activities - other than intramural basketball. I was a motor head and hung out with Charlie Brammer, Jim's older brother, and others that were into hot-roddin...Expand for more
g. We spent a lot of time working on cars, cruising 6th Ave and racing at the drag races.
After meeting Cindy Locke, she and I tended to stick to ourselves and a small circle of friends.
The only HS year book picture of me is in the 1973 year book page 38 in case anyone is interested.
I joined the USAF delayed enlistment program in early 1974 and was jetted away in a Boeing 707 just days after graduation. I was a Flight Engineer in an Air Rescue squadron. For the most part - it was a wonderful life experience. Some of the guys I flew with are still good friends.
The majority of my working life was with the Boeing Company. Over my 25 year career with Boeing I work in 3 functional organizations; supplier management, engineering, and finance.
Cindy and I had a daughter and she is wonderful. Her and her husband are raising 4 children and everyone is doing great.
After retiring from Boeing I moved to the Palm Springs area in CA. I enjoy the weather and lifestyle that only this area can provide.
I got involved with Reunion activities back in 2013 for our 40 year reunion. It is a lot of work but it is nice to reconnect with classmates.
