Daniel's Story
Life
I am proud to say that I have three grandchildren and one on the way.
My son Brian and his wife Stefanie have two boys, Aidan is four and Evan is only 8 weeks old. My daughter Wendy and her husband Chip have a son named Trey who is 3 years old. They just had a baby girl September named Bree.
My two oldest grandson's love to go fishing.
I graduated from Clarke H.S. in 65' and wrestled in college at West Virginia University and received a BS Degree in 1970 in health and Physical Education.
In 1970 I coached the University H.S. Wrestling Team in Morgantown, West Virginia. That year one of my wrestlers won the State Title at 115 lbs.
I then took a job teaching and coaching wrestling at Kent County H.S. and have been teaching there for 37 years. I founded the Kent County H.S. and Junior wrestling programs and to this day both programs have grown to be one of the best in the state.
I was fortunate to have an exciting coaching career. Our teams won three st...Expand for more

At the end of my career I was bestowed some unexpected honors:
1990 Maryland State Wrestling Hall of Fame Inductee
1996 West Virginia Wrestling Hall of Fame Inductee
2000 Maryland District 7-8 Wrestling Hall of Fame

While I have retired from coaching wrestling I still have been involved in coaching Special Olympic Athletes for 12 years. This has bee the most rewarding coaching position that I have ever had in my coaching career. There is something special about showing up at each practice and getting a standing ovation by your team.
Special Olympic athletes have taught me alot about life.
