Life
Hi there. After graduating from high school in 1990, here's some of what I've been up to:
1990-1994: University of Washington. Majored in Political Science. Also took a lot of Environmental Studies and Geography courses.
1994-1995: AmeriCorps*National Civilian Conservation Corps, San Diego. Weird year. Made good friends and mortal enemies. I guess that means it was kind of like high school.
1996-1998: Peace Corps (hillside farming extension worker), Honduras. Yeah, I taught hillside farmers how to farm on hillsides. Peace C...Expand for more
orps is a little like working for the CIA on a volunteer basis. Hurricane Mitch hit Honduras while I was there. Seeing the world breathe a collective sigh of relief that the hurricane had only hit Honduras instead of Cancun, I was not surprised by the tragic events surrounding Hurricane Katrina.
1999-present: PhD program in political geography, University of California, Berkeley. Hoping to finish writing dissertation dang soon.
