Daniel's Story
College
I started community college and then got married. After my divorce I returned to Vinccence University where I recieved my degree in Military Science. I then went to the University of Illinois, Springfield and recieved my B.A. in Industrial Labor Relations. I am now a Grauduate candidate in Polictical Science, Education.
Workplace
After leaving the military I took a job as a part time police officer in the city of Auburn. It turned into a full time position. after 4 1/2 years I went to work for the Illinois Attorney General as an Investigator. I specialize in financial and cyber crime.
Military
I enlisted in the United States Army Military Police Corps in Feb. 1974. I served in Germany with the 529th Military Police Honor Guard until 1976 when I left active duty...Expand for more
to serve in the Reserve system. I was assigned to the 358th Military Police Company. I served there until I transfered to the 233rd MP Company Illinois Army National Guard. I served with the Guard until 1985 then transfered to the Army Reserve in the 303rd Ordnance Group (Ammo). I was the Physical Security specialist and was in that position until Thanksgiving 1990 when I was activated for Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. I served with the 176th Engineers, Task Force Phoenix, 4th Avation Brigade, 1st Armor Division. In May 1991 I was released from Active Duty again and was assigned to the US Army Reserve School where I taught Military Police School and all the NCO courses. I transfered back to the 303rd Ordnance Group and served as the Group First Sergeant until I retired in 1998.
