Here is my update, or 30 years in 300 words or less: I graduated from ISU in 1979, and began teaching in Normal, IL, at Fairview School. I completed my masters {in 1981}, and then began working on my doctorate. I left Fariview in 1984 to be the assistant principal at Oakdale, an elementary school near the original Normal Community High. After 3 years as an assistant, I spent 3 years as a building principal, the last year at Glenn Elementary. At that point I had my PhD, so I took an assistant superintendency in a district near Pekin. I spent 4 years there, and then took the superintendency in Havana, IL. I only spent one year there before I headed to Ball-Chatham, near Springfield, as their superintendent. After ...Expand for more
