Daniel's Story
After graduating from college in 1984, I went on to get by PhD in Dallas Texas. While I spent the next quarter century in Texas teaching physics, I continued to think of Alaska as home. I moved back north in 2007, when I became a Dean in Indiana. Changes in leadership resulted in my bouncing around at the university. rough it all I have continued to pursue physics research with students.
In contrast with my professional life, my personal life has been very steady. I met a wonderful woman in college at Colorado in 1981. We got married in 1986 and are still going strong! We have three kids, all grown now. Two are married and one has already given us grandkids already! The family is spread across the country, so getting together is a challenge now, but we use it as an excuse to travel!
