Daniel's Story
working so many hours in the last 20 years, It seems like just yesterday when I was in the halls of deckerville, before they even had a pool.
I do recall not having a very good repor with principle"Alan J Broughton ( I hope I spelled that right) as i had to leave deckerville High school a couple of months before graduation would have hapened, due to the lacking of 1 credit. I would of liked to at least walked the isle with the class. I could of made it up later. does not matter though. I ended up in a skilled trade, making deasent money. Not right away though. I did my my time acting foolish. I played in a couple of bands in the city.I traveled around the country a little bit.I got married and divorced. I drove truck for a while. Then GOD showed me what I needed to do, even though I didnt know it yet. I started off at the bottom of the tool and die ind.I had no college education, so I was not worth much more than a parts driver/maintenance guy.
People were led in my direction with experience, wiling to be passed on. I was blessed enough to work for a couple of people who saw potential in me. I was trained to do things above my level of...Expand for more
experience at that time.I felt a great interest in learning more.It was almost as if I was meant to be in the field. I tried to understand manuals on the subjects and asked alot of questions. I was cut down a few times, never the less i kept going.God made it easy for me to learn the programing side of machining, and that is where the money was.I went to a small school, paid for by a company i worked for. It helped alot. Most of my experience was obtained via on the job.I now program and operate cnc mills, Mostly for the auto ind. I have found a great church in Memphis MI.The pastor is a guy that actually drove me to church as a young child on a bus.I ran into him visiting the church in Memphis,30 years after.Small world.I live near algonac MI. It is a nice area, although It has it's bad element, just like every where.I would like to live in Memphis MI, but its too far from work. I would not like to drive for an hour to work. The gas alone would kill my paycheck. Its nice to be home early enough to relax, and strum a little guitar or just sit and read.I dont watch much tv, I leave that to the kids(lol).thats 20 years in a nut shell.
