Life
After graduating from high school, I went to Caltech. Got jaded with math/science. Dropped out. Then worked as a record store clerk at Tower Records, got really into indie rock and literature. Wrote and played guitar often, just for my own pleasure. Went back to Caltech. Dropped out again. Started sending stories to quarterlies. None were published, thankfully. Worked as an office clerk. Went to lots of indie rock shows -- Fugazi, Unwound, Shellac, et cetera. Eventually started programming for JobTrak (now MonsterTrak), a college job-listing website. The money was great. alf of that, I quit. Played in a brief band called the Quadrature. We just played several shows. A lo-fi ten-song solo guitar CD is available to anyone who contacts me. It's at least somewhat boring. :-)
Now I'm living off my savings, and am actually gonna return to school to pursue music composition formally. I've begun my first string quartet recently, and look forward to completing it. I'm using GNU Lilypond running on Ubuntu Linux, both of which I wanted to plug, as my composition software tools, and I really love them!!! So, I'm more into classical music these days than rock for whatever reason. Anyway, wish me luck!!!
