Danielle's Story
Who am I? Wow. I'm a woman who stands in utter disbelief that twenty years has passed since we left the hallowed halls of SHS. In my heart and mind, I still feel like and 18 year-old (okay, I know I was 19 when I graduated - the 5 year plan and all :-}), but there's no denying that time has wrought tremendous changes in my life during the last 20 years and I¿ve got more to show for them than just crow¿s feet! I've been married to the most wonderful man in the world for the last eighteen of them, my husband Kyle. Together, we¿re working on raising two of the most amazing kids. Amanda is 17 and a senior at (Dare I say it?) Bunnell and Wade is 14 and a freshman there as well. They¿re both happy and healthy and enjoying school in a way I never did. ts and activities that keep us on the run all the time, but Kyle and I love it despite our perpetual exhaustion! I spent the first 15 years of our marriage as a stay-at-home mom, part-time lunch lady, and student - about eight years ago, I went back to school and got my degree in mathematics. Now. I teach eighth grade math in Milford and really enjoy it. I've started working on my master's degree in education. I want to be the best teacher I can be :-)
Life hasn¿t always been so easy for us. Kyle was very seriously ill for about 4 years, but one thing that experience and the last twenty years has taught me is to savor every moment and to, through ALL things, give thanks. For, every experience can teach and grow us if only we let it and we'll be all the richer for it in the end.
