Life Hello everyone... Well I am now living in the Last Frontier..the great state of Alaska. I am working in the surgery department as an RN at the local hospital. Tried the marriage thing and it lasted close to 20 years... enjoying being single once again. Have my own house in an aeropark and learned to fly some time ago. I have 3 dogs, 2 of which are Alaskan sled dogs, and the other...well he is Rottie mix rescued from the pound. I also have one very large and sassy cat ! Am into archery and compete at a local level, goal is to go to Nationals someday. Drive a Hyundai Santa Fe, fully equipped with even a DVD in the back for the children... but dang..no children..so I just use it when I go camping.. even has a 12V outlet so I can plug in the curling iron !! come on now..even when camping one wants to look her best ! Fishing is a way of life here so I have conformed to eating more fish. The halibut and salmon here are to die for though and the king crab? well there is nothing else like it. I don't live in a little village or in an igloo ! but I do rub noses with folks from time to time ! The native culture here is interesting and quite educational. The Northern Lights are spectacular and the mountains are awesome. If you ever get the desire to visit Alaska look me up. My door is always open and you will be welcomed with open arms. OH !! one more thing... I do have running water !!! so tromping through the woods to the "outhouse" is not an iss...Expand for more
