Dann's Story
Life
It has been a amazing ride and it gets more interesting by (and in) the moment. The lines between work and play are not always that clear, but my career is in the arts and architecture as a designer and fabricator. I'm basically a free agent, but employed by two design-build companies and The Crucible (.org), an industrial arts school. Steel and wood are my materials of choice, but I work in all sorts and for all sorts, from cracked artists to NASA (though the similarities were spooky). by a TV series for National Geographic that focuses on the "rapid design and prototyping" of unusual contraptions by our core build team, with guest specialists for each episode. It should air later next year. As for play, well I love to play. I have been blessed with a beautiful crew of artists, builders, lovers, healers, visionaries, debauchers, and fixers. Living on the learning curve and loving it.
Realizing that the best designs are those that enrich interactions, increase autonomy, and inspire eloquent survival.
