Dan's Story
Moved to Kansas and Shawnee Mission Northwest from Long Island only for my senior year - transferred from South Side HS, Rockville Centre, Long Island -
yup, Still running competitively- haven't stopped since 7th grade
Air Force Academy 1978-1982 -
23 wonderful years in the Air Force 1982-2005, living in Oklahoma, Illinois, DC and Germany for 10 years - flying the T-37, T-38, C9 Nightingale Aeromedical Airlift, C130 cargo planes. Spent 2 years as an exchange officer with...Expand for more
the German Air Force at their General Staff College. Deployed 6 months in United Arab Emirates 2002-03 during last war.
Retired in 2005 as a Lt Colonel. Continued to fly but with commercial cargo carriers....
Atlas Air 2005-2006, 747 First Officer, London England
and now happily with FedEx Express 2006-present, as a 727 Flight Engineer, Memphis Tn. Eventually will go to MD11 and get back into international flights.
