Darcy Haynes:  

During High School and college, I worked for the JC Penney Company. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1982 and shortly thereafter began working for American Express. My career at American Express was composed of Travel Agency Accounting followed by IT Coordination and Computer Programming. I am currently retired from American Express. During my career at American Express I also had a contract with the Leighton Agency in Phoenix, Arizona doing Voice Over work, Industrial Films as well as Print Ads. I also sang with the Ventura Chorale as well as the Masterworks Chorale in Phoenix under Maryann Dutton. I spend most of my free time studying the Bible, visiting with family and friends, attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses as well as regular involvement with Bible ministry work. My goal is to continually improve the person I am and to be of encouragement to those I come in contact with. I recently finished treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma and am now in remission. It was about 1 1/2 years of treatment with plenty of ups and downs. One thing that stands out to me is the importance of family and friends who love and care about you. I am reminded of the scripture that reads from Luke 6:38- "Practice giving, and people will give to YOU. They will pour into YOUR laps a fine measure, pressed down, shaken together and overflowing. For with the measure that YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU in return.¿ So, thank you to all of you who have been so kind and giving. What you have done for me will be returned to you in ways you can't imagine. No matter what your beliefs are, one thing is true; love and kindness are universal and can be demonstrated by all. Even though many years have gone by, I can remember so many of you.
