Darin's Story
Life
After high school I joined the Army and got married to my beautiful wife Cherry. After 4 years in the Army that was enough, but 21 years later Cherry and I are still doing well. We had two children, Darin II(18) and Jennifer(20), and I married into two Eddie(28) and Christy(26).
After 4 years in the Army, all spent at Fort Riley, KS, I went to work for Schneider National. I started as a driver, moved into dispatch, then to a terminal manager, then spent the next 5 years in safety. After a total of 16.5 years, the company went through a restructure and I find myself out of a job, but with a good severance package. I quickly went back to work in the transportation industry and we are doing well.

also enjoy that our children, although gone from home, still call a few times a week, give us updates and tell Cherry and I they love us. Guess we did OK on getting them raised. My youngest is serving in the Army and is scheduled to go to Iraq in September. Please keep him and the other servicemen and women in your thoughts and prayers.
Update March 18, 2009 -- My son made it back safely from Iraq and is doing well in Ga.
Cherry, my wife, lost a battle with brain cancer a few days ago...we had a wonderful 23 years together. She had her faith in the Lord Jesus and has received total healing.
While we never know what life will throw at us, we can be certain there is reason and purpose in everything...I certainly do not understand but I do believe that there is a reason.
