Darleen's Story
Planning a big trip for our 25th wedding anniversary this October! I left my radio disc jockey job at 92.1 FM Radio New Braunfels where I had been for 6 years, to move to the coast in 2010. Loved it there, but Jim's job decided we needed to be in the metroplex.... so, after 20 years I'm back in the big city. BLECH! I can't wait to get back to the hills! Til then I've got a great veggie & herb garden, cooking like a fiend. I have taken a sabbatical from work, but still find time to do some writing. About to get into doing some commercial voice-over work, hopefully on the national scale.
Prior to KNBT I worked for 99.5 KISS for 5 years, Magic 105.3 before that, Texas Public Radio KPAC before that and started out at KZEP 104.5. And I'm not done with radio yet!
My husband works for Christus hospitals, he's a metal guitar god on the side and into Star Wars costuming. My son Devin...Expand for more
is still in New Braunfels, have a meal at the exquisite Gruene Door and Devin may wait on you, unless he's in the kitchen cooking. We've got a big goofy dog and two cats. Enjoying riding my V-Star motorcycle alongside hubby Jim on his Harley! I am also a photographer and do all kinds of crafts projects. I am also the creator/instigator of the SVHS BIg Ass Reunion! We've had 3 Big Ass reunions so far, ad several "mini" reunions. The next Biggie is summer 2014, celebrating class of 1984's 30 year reunion!
