Darlena's Story
I am married to David "Dave" Harmon who graduated from Sissonville High School, the Class of 1974. We have one son, David "Dave" Harmon, II, born in 1978 and he graduated from Sissonville High School, the Class of 1996. He served four years in the United States Navy aboard the Ship, the USS Detroit. We were so proud of him when he joined the Military.
We actually live at Pocatalico, West Virginia. We have lived in the Sissonville vicinty since Dave & I got married in 1977.
I was injured on the job in 1998 and I am now disabled. I do have my health issues and problems. But, I am still here and I try to cope with them the best way I know how.

t the Family History Library at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, LDS, located at Sissonville as a Librarian and Historian. I am a local historian. But, I can research all 50 States plus other foreign countries, too. I am very good at what I do. I can research and take you back to trace your past to your present. But I can not read your future.
I might as well get it over with and just tell the truth. At DuPont Jr. High & at DuPont High School, I had a bunch of "Girl Friends" that I surrounded myself with and kept them all the time laughing with me and with my jokes I kept them in stitches with, my quirks, purposely humiliating myself, playing jokes on them, doing my silly impressions and mocking of others of that day and the love and feeling so lucky to have that many friends. For those same "Girl Friends" that I had kept laughing and in stitches, they treated me the same way, too. I still have those same loyal "Girl Friends" to this day.
On the other hand...the truth, I was not popular with the boys. I am sorry for you guys, but now I always say this about myself...."It looks like y'all missed out on a perfectly good dish then!!"
