Darlene's Story
I have such a boring life here in Arizona. Came here with my heels dug in the ground six years ago. I miss CA and my daughter and grandson. But.... now we are talking on Skype and are doing video calls so it's a bit better. This year the plan is to paint the inside of the house. It's going to take me forever because I can only do one or two hours of painting. If someone drops in the fun part is that I can leave the ladders, paint cans wherever I want to and always have an excuse of why I didn't "clean the house today". the painting helps me. I lost my Mother three months ago and my heart aches. All my school buddies will remember how much fun she was and the crazy parties on Clybourn. She was my dearest friend and at least I was with her these past 6 years and on the last day.
Posted this in 2009 and am really loving AZ now. Guess moving after 55 years in the Valley the move and first years were tough but it is a goo life here. Now I have two grandsons and see them through tot the year but the visits go so fast. We are still Dodger fans and adopted the AZ Cardinals and enjoy seeing them play.
